2009 ABF

Another ABF (Atkins Backyard Fellowship) has come and pasted into memories. As I think back to this latest one I must admit I enjoyed it far more than those in the past. I am now trying to figure out why that was, it could be I had most of the work done prior to the day and did not feel the pressure of trying to fix too many foods in the final hours. It could also be I grilled all the chicken outside on a beautiful day of sunshine and clouds also some rain thrown in for good measure. I must admit I did not look forward to standing over the stove and pre-boiling chicken for hours.

Then there was the friends that came to enjoy and fellowship with each other, total of 81 for this years to do. The Lord has blessed Walt and I with such good friends,they seem more like family. Some could not make it this year due to health reasons and prior engagements but the ones who came really seemed to have fun.

Walt is already working up the list of who to invite next year and I am not surprised it is much larger than this past ABF. Sometimes I wonder just how many is too many and I really do not want to find out.
